After many back-and-forth volleys in Washington, DC, Congress has decided to delay the FCC’s digital transition. According to a great read by John Eggerton of Broadcasting & Cable, the switch will be pushed to June 12th.
It’s a tough pill for stations and consumers who scurried to make upgrades needed before the February 17th imposed deadline…and a victory for those who weren’t able to attain the equipment needed for the transition. Many stories will spawn out of this I’m sure, just wanted to get the word out.
I’d encourage you to check in often here as we make this drive to June 12th…should be interesting.
