HDH: Duracell Instant Charger

Need a boost? Well, instead of reaching for that cup of coffee or slurp of soda, consider refueling your tech gear with one of these little puppies. The Duracell Instant Charger is fuel for your phones, gas for your gadgets and power for your iPod when you’re on the road and can’t stop to plug and power-up.

Power on the go, the Duracell Instant Charger will give you a real-time power supply in a pinch

The technology caged inside this crafty little contraption is a lithium battery pack that does almost what it says it does. While it won’t instantly charge your phone or small tech device back to full power with the snap of your fingers, it does give you the boost you need when plugging into A/C power just isn’t possible.

Operation is fairly idiot-proof: plug in through a USB port on your laptap – the red light will indicate that the unit is charging, a green light indicates it’s ready to rumble (or at least power you up…with an amazing 35 hours of backup juice to consume at your discretion). Connect your USB port into the appropriate slot and *voila* you’ve got power.

Big props to Duracell for providing this Instant Charger for me on my recent southern swing across the country – I had to make several long-winded calls and being that I was hours away from my next stop (sans car charger) – this pocket-sized product kept me connected even when my phone had other motives.

The Duracell Instant Charger retails for a little more than $20 and can be found at several big box locations – or on Amazon.com. Wherever you choose to spend, know that you’re spending wisely. Because at the end of the day, just how valuable is being connected to you?
