Pond5 – Great Resource for Editors Worldwide

When I’m producing a video, I’d like to think I’ll always be able to grab all the resources I’d need with my own eyes and cameras. However, every once in a while, I need to reach out and bring in some outside help. One online source I’ve used a few times in the past year is Pond5. The sites’ goal is to “empower media makers by building the web’s fastest, friendliest and fairest marketplace for stock media content”, and boy to they deliver.

From stock b-roll, to images and audio, you can simply type in a search term, and usually find a plethora of options. Prices are reasonable, and they even pay for content, too.

But the thing I absolutely love is the site’s After Effects and virtual set options. Simply buy the motion element, upload and tweak, and you’ve got amazing VFX options for your project. Since I’m not good at AE or Motion, this has and will continue to be a great resource. From one video producer to another – if you’re ever in a jam and need to get out, use Pond5. They’re awesome!

And if you can’t tell, I’m a fan of Pond5.com. I was in no way compensated for this post. This is purely my opinion.
